First reboot your WiFi router
To reboot your Wi-Fi router and fix most connectivity issues, follow these steps:
- Unplug the Power: Disconnect the power cord from the back of the router or from the wall outlet. If your router has a battery backup, ensure you remove the batteries as well to fully cut the power.
- Wait 30-60 Seconds: Leave the device unplugged for at least 30 to 60 seconds. This allows the memory to clear and ensures a full power cycle.
- Plug It Back In: Reconnect the power cable and reinsert any batteries.
- Wait for Initialization: It can take 2 to 5 minutes for the router to fully boot up and re-establish a connection with your ISP. Look for the status lights to stabilize, usually turning green or blue.
- Test Your Connection: Once the lights are steady, try visiting a website or running an internet speed test to verify the fix.
Second reboot your dish
Your Dish power supply may be white or black
- Unplug the power from the wall for 10-20 seconds or at least until the power light goes off
- Plug it back in and wait about a minute for everything to come back online and connect to our network.
